ALL TOURS BY GREENVILLE WINE TOURS ARE CUSTOM FOR EACH GROUP
With Greenville Wine Tours you don’t have to worry about time limits or other prearranged tour restraints that limit or dictate how you are going to enjoy the day. Everything we do is custom and we will do our best to include everything you want. The day is yours to enjoy!
After a tour is booked we work with each group to ensure that their trip is perfectly planned. If you want to visit more than wineries we can include other area destinations as well. There are numerous breweries and cider houses in the region that can be included in your tour. It isn’t uncommon to mix it up and visit more than just wineries in a winery tour. That being said, there is no limit to how your tour can be arranged or how best to enjoy your day!
There are also plenty of food options available both at the wineries as well as popular and highly rated restaurants around them. We are more than happy to make suggestions if you would like to include a food option on your tour.
Some of the Winery Regions You Can Visit
Wineries In and Around Greenville
There are quite a few wineries scattered around Greenville in the Upstate of South Carolina. There are also many diverse wine styles available (sweet versus traditional dry style wines) that make the area appealing to many people with a wide variety of tastes. When you factor in breweries and cider houses, there are literally dozens of locations available without even leaving the Upstate. Some of the notable wineries in the area include Carter Family Winery, Elevation 966, City Scape, Old Rock Quarry, Lazy Bear, Wellborn, Victoria Valley, and Eagle Mountain.
The Tryon Foothills
Just over the border in North Carolina is a tight cluster of 4 wineries that has a rich and long history of grape production. The wineries in this region will not disappoint and include Parker-Binns Vineyard, Overmountain Vineyards, Russian Chapel Hills Winery, and Mountain Brook Vineyards.
Crest of the Blue Ridge AVA, Hendersonville, NC
A little further over the border in North Carolina is another cluster of wineries around Hendersonville, NC. These are part of the American Viticulture Area (AVA) called “Crest of the Blue Ridge” and include Sawyer Springs Vineyard, Marked Tree Vineyard, Stone Ashe Vineyards, Saint Paul Mountain Vineyards, Burntshirt Vineyards, Point Lookout Vineyards, and Souther Williams Vineyard.
Other Points of Interest…
Since all of our tours are custom, we can also include other points of interest that are not wineries. For example, if you wanted to mix it up we could also visit a brewery (of which there are numerous in the area). A favorite spot of ours to include on tours is Vicario Spirits in Greer, SC. The experience there is almost worth a trip all to itself.
